What is the program about?
We offer hands-on mentoring services to persons interested in real estate investing. Whether you are a novice or a seasoned real estate investor, Homebuyers United has developed a collaborative program that is designed to help guide you from where you are today; to where you would like to be -- in an accelerated manner. The goal of the Homebuyers United Mentoring Program is to buy houses and in the process, learn various aspects of real estate investing. This program is designed to educate and expose you to the intricacies of real estate investing, specifially in the Washington, DC metropolitan areas.


Is this a “get rich quick” program?
NO. If you are looking for the newest “get rich quick” thing then you are looking in the wrong place. The Homebuyers United Mentoring Program will help you put the power of real estate to work. However, we must emphasize that it is going to take effort, patience, and persistence on your part. We expect you should be prepared to invest at least 10 hours per week to look at houses, pre-screen leads and make offers.


What forms of contact do students have with the Mentor?
Students have one-on-one contact with the Mentor and experts through our weekly meetings, telephone conference calls, e-mail communications and scheduled one-on-one meetings.Back to top


How long is the program?
The Homebuyers United Mentoring Program lasts for five months (approximately twenty weeks). We will guide, and mentor you for this period to help you learn to invest the right way from the beginning.Back to top

Am I guaranteed a deal?
Finding a good Real Estate deal requires hard work, including marketing, negotiation, deal structuring, and financing to name just a few. Homebuyers United is committed to providing our students with the education, training, tools, resources and guidance that will help propel them to success.  It is the student’s responsibility to apply what they have learned to find their deals.Back to top


How will the profits from any deal be split?
Once a lead has been qualified, you will be given one of two options depending on the amount of financial risk you are prepared to accept:

Scenario 1: We take on all the financial risk. You will be refunded your enrollment fee and paid a finders fee for locating the lead. For this deal, you will be given “front row seating” throughout the process from start to finish. Since the deal will be ours, your financial outlay will be zero throughout this entire process. However, you will gain invaluable training and experience on the project by working very closely with the mentor.  

Scenario 2: You take on all the financial risk. We provide one-on-one consulting support for the duration of the project using our proprietary methods, processes and systems. We will provide you with consulting support at a pre-determined price. You keep all the profits from the deal.Back to top


What do I get for my investment?
You will receive:

  • Twenty consecutive weeks of extensive training
  • Detailed step-by-step instructions on all aspects of the real estate lifecycle (including marketing, deal structuring, financing, renovations, tenant selection, property management and managing for maximum profitability)
  • On-site visits to properties to see real life renovation projects at various stages of completion (prior-to, during and after rehab)
  • Customized information from local guest experts (including real estate attorneys, CPA’s, home and building inspectors, mortgage brokers, contractors, seasoned and successful investors etc.)
  • Access to an active Real Estate investor and Mentor, who has 20 years of successful, real world experience buying, rehabbing, holding and selling properties in the Washington, DC and Maryland area.
